Summary: PopulusLive has got some pretty negative reviews on Trustpilot, but the pay for each survey makes "giving it a go" OK. However, you can only realistically make £50 every 4 to 6 months with Populus Live, so this is certainly not a way to make a steady income!

Rating: 2.2/5

Recommended: NO!

Surveys are the first things that come up when searching for "make money online" opportunities.

PopulusLive is one of the many paid surveys platform around, but it is only available in the UK.

They claim that you can make £1 for every 5 minutes you spend doing their surveys. But is it as simply as it sounds?

In this PopulusLive Surveys Review I will be covering all the information you need in order for you to decide whether it is worth signing up or not.

In fact, the real question here is:

Is signing up to a paid survey site worth doing at all?

Could you be investing your time on the internet doing something much more profitable, that could lead you to quit your full time job and make $1000+/Month?

The answer to the second question is: Yes, you could! And you can learn how to do this here --> How to Make Money Online Legitimately

If you still wish to try surveys out, then please carry on reading this Populus Live review 🙂

What is PopulusLive?

Populus Live is a UK only survey site that claims to pay £1 for every 5 minutes spent on completing their surveys.

It was created by Populus, a company that provides research and informed insight for clients in the worlds of business, culture and politics.

Their polls cast light on public attitudes to a variety of political and social issues, such as:

  • Thoughts and feelings of voters
  • Factors that make potential givers want to donate to charities
  • Research to support product and campaign launches

How do you join PopulusLive?

Go to Populuslive.com and click on “Sign Up Now”.

You will be taken to a brief form that needs completing using information such as name, email address and date of birth.

Once the form is submitted, an email confirmation is sent to you. This will contain a link that needs clicking on in order to confirm your registration.

You can then log in and fill out your demographic profile. This will allow PopulusLive to send you surveys that are relevant to you.

PopulusLive demographic profile

In addition to that, you can fill out a business profile too, for a chance to receive extra surveys.

At this point, all you will have to do is wait for surveys invitations which will be sent to you via email.

Other survey websites allow you to pick surveys from their platform and complete them whenever you like, but PopulusLive does not work like that. You will always have to wait for their invitation.

How much does PopulusLive cost to join?

Populus Live registration is free. You won’t be charged any fees nor annual memberships.

How many paid surveys can one single user complete?

Users can complete as many surveys as they like, however as I previously mentioned, these are done by invitation only.

Surveys are only sent out if relevant to the user’s profile.

One more thing to note is that surveys are only open for a certain amount of time, so once a survey is closed or enough people with a certain profile have completed a survey, it can no longer be completed.

You will have to be very quick!

Once a survey has been submitted, this will go through quality control. Points will not be accredited if answers appear to be illogical or if a minimum amount of time has not been spent completing the survey.

What are PopulusLive surveys like?

Populus Live‘s surveys are laid out in a very simple web interface.

Surveys contain verification questions to make sure that they are being completed by paying attention to the questions asked, rather than by randomly clicking through.

How much and how do you get paid?

PopulusLive gives one point for every £1.

Once 50 points have been accumulated, Populus Live will pay out £50 via cheque.
With surveys being sent by invitation only, it is very difficult to reach the minimum 50 points needed in order to cash out a cheque.

You could be very lucky and be selected for many surveys, or be very unlucky and have to wait a few months to be able to take £50 home.

The amount you are paid for each survey will depend upon the average length of time it takes to complete the questionnaire.

What are the monthly prize draws about?

Members who are screened out of a survey, either as a consequence the survey requirement being fulfilled or simply not meeting the eligibility criteria for a particular survey, will be entered into PopulusLive monthly prize draw of £250.

The prize draw takes place on the second Monday of each month.

PopulusLive reviews on Trustpilot

I have had a look at other PopulusLive surveys reviews and noticed there were many complaints on Trustpilot, mostly being about:

  • Surveys being sent to members who do not qualify
  • Customer service being terrible
  • Accurately answered surveys being rejected by quality assurance

You can read the individual reviews for Populus Live on Trustpilot, but the overall rating was 2 stars out of 5, which is classified as “Poor”.

Is PopulusLive worth joining?

PopulusLive seems like an opportunity worth trying for the sake of earning some pocket money.

This is definitely not a program you can join to make a full-time income. You should not even rely on PopulusLive to earn money at a consistent time rate, since surveys are by invitation only.

I have to say that the negative reviews on Trustpilot are really off putting, but I have seen good reviews too, so I would say give it a go and complete a couple of surveys to see how things go.

This only applies to those of you who are happy about spending time completing surveys, with the aim of making £50 every 4 to 6 months.

I am a firm believer that time spent on surveys is time wasted. There are much better ways to make money online, which can bring you in a high steady income.
