We have always been enticed whenever someone offers us a way to earn extra money. Oftentimes, they are people we know, and they ask us to do favors for them in exchange for cash.
However, there are some offers out there that promises to double or triple your cash if you invest in them. That is a pyramid scheme. Pyramid schemes are illegal.

Pampered Chef Pros and Cons
Do Pampered Chef consultants make money?
I think we could all agree that it is a big red flag when a company does not publish their Income Disclosure Statement. That is the case with Pampered Chef.
I have looked in different sites, blogs, and forums and I could not seem to find a copy of one. I saw some people in Reddit looking for it as well.
Since we do not have any data showing us how much a consultant can potentially earn, we have no way to know if Pampered Chef consultants make money or not.
I believe that there are better ways to make money online than joining MLM companies such as Pampered Chef or PartyLite.
I do not suggest trusting comments or posts from social media as proof that you can earn money in an MLM. The data never lies, so it is always good to have that information public, for the sake of those thinking of joining MLMs.
However, we could all agree that joining MLMs come with pros and cons. It is always good to get the proper training from your team leader to boost your sales. As long as you use the correct marketing strategies and have a good team supporting you, you can find success in this venture.
Pampered Chef reviews
Pampered Chef has its own share of negative reviews.
In this Reddit post, someone asked other users about their thoughts on Pampered Chef. The person who posted said that Pampered Chef sells products at steep prices, and that their consultants are quite pushy.
This particular post is about a Reddit user's experience with Pampered Chef. Basically, it's about them having a low moment in their lives, and they thought that Pampered Chef is a good way to sort themselves out. In the end, they lost $3000.
This post is about a Reddit user's experience with a friend's sister who sells Pampered Chef products. According to them, they just wanted to catch up with their friend, but instead they got forced to attend a party that they did not enjoy. They found the experience manipulative and a scummy way to extract money from the party guests.
In this post, a Reddit user shared their experience with their mother's friend who sells Pampered Chef products. It turns out that the reason why the consultant has brilliant cooking skills is not because of Pampered Chef, but because they went to culinary school. They managed to recruit a lot of members and they earned decent money by not revealing this information to their customers.
Is Pampered Chef legit?
Yes, Pampered Chef is a legit company that has been in business for many years now.
However, MLMs tend to get viewed in a negative light due to the following reasons:
- Team leaders push recruiting more than actual product selling
- Members lack sales and marketing training from their leaders, which makes them lose money instead of earn
Being in an MLM requires you to be in a team. Your team has to be behind you at all times and provide you with the knowledge, training, and support you need to succeed.
Before signing up for an MLM, your initial plan should be looking for a team that will lead you to success. The team you will join in will be with you in every step of the way, so make sure you belong to the one that is the right fit for you.
Is Pampered Chef a Pyramid Scheme?
First of all, let's look at what a Pyramid Scheme is:
"A pyramid scheme is a business model that recruits members via a promise of payments or services for enrolling others into the scheme, rather than supplying investments or sale of products." - Wikipedia
As Pampered Chef consultants make money both by recruiting other team members AND by selling products to customers, it is safe to say that Pampered Chef is not a Pyramid Scheme!
How to succeed with Pampered Chef and any other online business
MLMs are usually bashed since not everyone makes money with them.
This is because leaders do not give proper training to their members, but instead push them to recruit more so they could earn easy money from commissions.
Here is the thing... You cannot succeed on an MLM by recruiting your family and friends alone. You cannot force your family and friends to buy your products. You need to be able to get the proper knowledge to make sales and reach your target market.
Your target market are the people who are willing to spend for the products you offer. They are the people you need to sell your products to. You need to find a way to reach them to succeed in this venture.
There are two popular ways to do this:
- Set up paid adverts that target a specific audience within your niche
- Find a way to generate free organic traffic that can be turned into sales
The first option is very expensive and if you are just starting out, then I recommend you scrap that for now.
The second one is completely doable and inexpensive, in fact, you can even get the right tools and information for FREE.
